1. Scope

This policy applies to goldenlawnservice.com (the "site") and to all services provided by Golden Lawn Service ("we", "us", "our"), a lawn-care and landscaping business based in Sterling Heights, Michigan. It explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

2. What we collect

We collect personal information only when you choose to give it to us. The categories are:

• Contact details — your name, phone number, email address, and the service address. You provide these when you submit a quote request, call us, email us, or sign a quote.
• Property details — lot size, current grass length, services requested, and any notes you add. You provide these on the quote form or in conversation.
• Payment information — for invoiced work, we collect the payment method you choose (cash, check, or credit card). Card numbers are processed by our payment processor and are not stored on our systems.
• Call and message records — if you call or text us, we keep a record of the conversation so we can follow up on the work.

We do not collect: browsing history on this site, location data beyond what you provide, biometric data, or any special-category data under Michigan or federal law.

3. How we use it

We use the information you give us to:

• Respond to your quote request, normally the same business day.
• Schedule the work, send reminders, and follow up after the work is done.
• Send your invoice and process payment.
• Keep records required by Michigan tax and business law.
• Contact you about related services you have already asked about. We do not send marketing you did not request.

4. What we do not do

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. We do not run third-party advertising trackers on this site. We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any other behavioural tracking tool.

5. How information reaches us

The quote form on /order.html does not submit data to a server. When you click Send Quote Request, your browser opens your email client with the details pre-filled in the message body, addressed to ed@goldenlawnservice.com. The information reaches us only when you choose to send that email. Until then, no server has seen your data.

6. Third-party services on the site

The site uses one third-party service:

• Google Fonts. The site's text is rendered using fonts loaded from Google's CDN. When your browser fetches a font file, Google receives your IP address. Google's privacy policy applies to that data: policies.google.com/privacy.

We do not embed third-party analytics, advertising, video players, or social-media widgets.

7. Cookies

This site does not set cookies of its own. See the full cookie policy.

8. Data retention

We keep your contact and property information for as long as you remain a customer, plus 7 years for tax and business records under Michigan law. If you ask us to delete your information (see Section 10), we will delete what we are not required to keep.

9. How we protect it

Quote requests arrive by email and are stored in our business email and bookkeeping system, both password-protected and accessible only to the business owner. We do not transfer your data outside the United States.

10. Your rights

You have the right to:

• Access — ask what personal information we hold about you.
• Correct — ask us to fix information that is wrong.
• Delete — ask us to delete information we are not required to keep.
• Opt out — ask us to stop contacting you about related services.

11. Children

Our services are sold to adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has submitted information through this site, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top will change. Material changes will be announced on the site home page.
